START-UP LAUNCHES COMPETITIVE NEW VIDEO PLATFORM
Signs Agreement with Mike Tyson Site
Lansdowne, VA/February 11, 2009 – VOPED, the exciting, new entrant in online video platform technology, announced today that it has developed and launched the first of its new embeddable video applications, the VOPED Embeddable Video Platform (EVP).
VOPED’s Embeddable Video Platform (EVP) technology is being rolled-out with three goals in mind for VOPED customers: affordability for all sizes of online publishers; a high degree of functionality that raises the profile of video on websites; and customer options to help monetize video content.
The VOPED EVP can be easily applied to any website at an affordable cost, and can be customized for a platform that will suit specific online needs. Soon VOPED will roll out additional features and services, and will continue to build on valued partnerships with premier online publishers and websites.
“VOPED is thrilled to introduce an Embeddable Video Platform (EVP) with a very affordable entry-level price for low-volume websites, while also providing high scalability, reliability, and functionality for any high-volume site as well,” stated VOPED Founder and President Mark Serrano in announcing the launch of the VOPED EVP. “VOPED’s EVP offers online publishers enhanced functionality to engage users, catalogue videos, and capture both user and member videos. The EVP is intuitive, affordable and easily applied and managed by customers through the VOPED Administration Console. Anyone with an online presence looking for advanced video capabilities to engage and serve their online audiences will appreciate the flexibility and affordability of VOPED’s EVP,” concluded Serrano.
In addition to VOPED’s new product and services launch, VOPED announced a major online agreement with a leader in the digital marketing industry. SimpleSeason is the digital host for new micro-sites for celebrity powerhouses like The Doors, Mike Tyson, Janis Joplin and many others. VOPED and SimpleSeason recently re-launched the official Mike Tyson website (OfficialMikeTyson.com). With the use of VOPED’s EVP technology, notes SimpleSeason Creative Director John Wantz, Mike Tyson fans may view and share a catalog of Mike Tyson’s greatest hits. “Mike Tyson fans love the features offered by VOPED’s EVP. The ease of viewing the catalog of videos, from Tyson’s first heavyweight championship against Trevor Berbick in 1986 to later fights, is definitely a hit,” declared Wantz.
VOPED is a privately-funded company based in Northern Virginia. In May 2008 VOPED launched its initial web applications designed to equip VOPED users with an online platform and tools to promote user-generated video content, placing VOPED at the nexus of online interaction between news publishers and news consumers, as well as other web content publishers. These free applications provided VOPED with the foundation to develop and launch its subscription-based, embeddable video applications, the first of which is the Embeddable Video Platform (EVP). Future applications under-development include the VOPED Video Ad Platform which will enable pre- and post-roll video advertising on videos that will help customers monetize their websites. VOPED ensures the reliability and scalability of its applications through a redundant system of computing and storage; a load-balanced, cloud-based web farm provides easy scalability to facilitate growth for clients.
