Our new website receives a lot of international traffic. And while online video may not be new in the US, there are big opportunities for content owners, rights holders, and producers with a good business model in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and around the globe.
One example of this potential is the recent relationship formed between VOPED and Wydder Media Center. Wydder, a Spain-based company, has built a library of content and is pulling all of the technical, social, and design pieces together for a launch later this year. After a review of the global competition, Wydder picked VOPED as the management and delivery engine for their video content to online audiences in Europe. Wydder will use VOPED’s technology to offer a broad library of free, legal Hollywood films. Their content will initially be available in Spain, on the web and mobile devices and will include integration with social media sites.
We’re a good match for their needs: the VOPED online video platform delivers content with Digital Rights Management security, using VAST 2.0 and VPAID ad serving protocols, and provides social integration. We’re also working with Wydder’s design team on the look and feel of the player and the site.
VOPED’s business approach is flexible and adaptive, which makes good sense for companies such as Wydder to advance their businesses more quickly and confidently.
There is a lot of opportunity today for online video, and to better connect with the global market, later this year at MIPCOM in France the VOPED team will be providing demonstrations of how our evolving technologies can support other leaders in the global premium content delivery market.
