\nThe Streaming Media East Conference<\/strong><\/em> was this week in a rainy New York City. It was VOPED<\/strong>\u2019s third time to SME, and we spent part of our time wondering how things have changed since the first one we attended. \u00a0Luckily we were positioned alongside the SME Demo Theatre so that in between some very interesting conversations, we could hear what\u2019s new with companies like Dolby<\/strong> and Adobe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Kevin Towes<\/strong><\/em> with Adobe enticed us with a teaser about a big announcement coming out \u201cvery, very soon\u201d on their Digital Rights Management (DRM) solution, Access<\/strong>. \u00a0As much as the technology of online video has matured, it is clear that content owners and consumers have high expectations, and companies are stepping up to the plate to deliver higher and higher quality end-user experiences.<\/p>\n

So, for those who want to know: \u00a0was the show a success for VOPED? \u00a0Oh yeah! \u00a0There were some high level representatives looking for the VOPED feature set<\/a>. \u00a0It didn\u2019t hurt that our flexibility with how we can deploy the VOPED platform is something that companies are finding very appealing.<\/p>\n

By the Numbers: SME announced a 6% increase in attendance over last year.<\/strong><\/p>\n
