VOPED made the spring trek again to NAB in Las Vegas. We are not sure what takes longer, the plane ride from the east coast or the walk to the online video pavilion in the back of the South Hall Upper Level.
It’s worth the work though as we spent the four days doing on-site demos for an international set of attendees. It’s amazing how much ground there is yet to cover for online video globally.
Companies from Europe, Asia and South America were looking for a system to deliver content to their in-country users. Maybe it’s time we put the Made in the USA sticker on the VOPED website because more and more interest is being driven from overseas, and NAB was another clear indicator of that.
NAB highlights: VOPED VP of Business Operations finally got a GoPro tee shirt. GoPro had the same booth at CES and seems unbeatable in the action sports video camera category. 3D still seems to take up a fair amount of space at NAB, but will it ultimately pay off? We’re staying tuned.
